Collecting remains from the sites of fierce battles is an extremely difficult task.
A total of 51 stones have been gathered to represent battlefields such as Iwo Jima and Guam, and 25 of them are on display. They were donated by Tokyo Kiwanis along with the Soul-Comforting Spring.
