This is the second shrine gate in front of the main gate and the largest bronze torii gate in Japan. A close look will reveal that the cylindrical pillars are completely seamless. They were produced in a reverberatory furnace at the Osaka Arsenal using the most cutting-edge technology of the Meiji era, and completed in 1887.
