Yasukuni Jinja is a solemn place of worship.
In order to maintain the purity and tranquility of the sacred precincts, the following items and acts are prohibited on the shrine grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
Behavior that disrespects the enshrined spirits or the shrine itself
Entering restricted areas
Writing on or otherwise defacing any of the shrine buildings or facilities on the grounds
Moving around tables, chairs, or other shrine furnishings
Riding bicycles in the Inner Garden (from the Main Gate to the Main Hall side; excluding the area from the North Gate road to the Inner Garden Temporary Visitors’ Parking Lot and farther north)
Driving vehicles on shrine roads or up to the front of the shrine
Walking dogs or other animals in the Inner Garden
Lying down or sitting around on the shrine grounds or on benches, etc., singing, or making excessive noise
Smoking outside of designated locations
Fireworks
Bringing dangerous articles or garbage onto the grounds
Breaking off the branches of trees on the grounds
Bringing home rocks or plants, or capturing insects, birds, fish, or other animals found on the grounds
Amusement activities or sports such as roller skating, skateboarding, etc.
Using drones and radio-controlled airplanes within the shrine grounds
Picnicking in the Inner Garden
Sale of goods and circulation or distribution of flyers, pamphlets, etc.
Publicity activities involving the display of flags, banners, etc.
Collection of signatures, assembly, or mass demonstrations
Camera use inside the Main Sanctuary or Yushukan Museum (excluding the entrance hall and main exhibit hall)
