Screening of the film “Karafuto 1945 Summer: Gates of Ice and Snow” (August period only)

Yushukan will be showing the film “Karafuto 1945 Natsu Hyosetsu no Mon (Karafuto 1945 Summer: The Gates of Ice and Snow)” on the following dates.

Please come and watch the film with your friends.

This is the true story of nine young women who worked as telephone operators at the Moka Post Office and gave their young lives to protect many people during the chaos of the end of the Greater East Asia War and the invasion of Sakhalin by the Soviet Army. (1974, 120 min., Language is Japanese only)

≪Period≫ From August 1 (Fri.) to 31 (Sun.)

　　　　　　The screening will be suspended on August 14 and 15 (to reduce congestion). 

≪Time≫ 10:00 a.m. / 1:00 p.m. (2 showings per day)

　　　　　　Doors open 10 minutes before the screening.

　　　　　　If you enter the theater after the screening starts, please be considerate so as not to disturb other visitors.

≪Please≫ purchase a ticket for the permanent exhibition.

・Please do not talk during the screening.

・Eating and drinking are prohibited in the hall.
